St Joseph’s Primary school Bulahdelah
St Joseph’s Primary school is a small K to 6 school in Bulahdelah. A recent capital works programme has seen the school rebuilt and our students and staff now enjoy the comforts of a modern and well-resourced teaching environment in a pleasant rural setting. The school was founded in 1955 by the Sisters of St Joseph. We also acknowledge and pay our respect to the traditional owners of this land, the Worimi people. Our school vision and mission statement is: Loving, Learning and Living like Jesus. The school achieves this mission by giving students opportunities to use their gifts and reach their potential through a variety of academic, sporting, cultural and spiritual experiences and activities.
The school also offers many quality teaching and learning programs including K to 6 Guided Reading, Ants in the Apple, Count Me In Too and Lexia. The school has a strong focus on Information Technology, with a well equipped computer lab and interactive Smartboards used regularly in classrooms. A specialist music teacher, Learning Support Teacher and Teacher Librarian are employed one day a week and a range of environmental initiatives are integrated into the curriculum as well as a daily P.E program. The school is actively involved in the parish and local community.
